Kigali International Airport (KGL) is about 11 km, 15 to 30 minutes, from central Kigali. Your driver meets you after arrivals, can stay with you for meetings and trips during your stay, and takes you back for your flight home. Airport runs start from $40.
Arrivals and departures
Most travellers need the airport twice: once when they land and again when they leave. An airport driver covers both. Send us your arrival and departure flights when you book, and we confirm the pickup and drop-off times with you in advance.
On arrival, pre-booked drivers usually wait just past the arrivals exit doors with a name sign, and the drive to most hotels in central Kigali takes 15 to 30 minutes. For departures, we collect you from your hotel or last meeting with enough time for check-in, based on your airline’s deadline.
Day or night flights
Flights reach Kigali at all hours, and pickups are arranged day or night. Late arrivals in particular are easier with a driver who is already expecting you, rather than finding transport after a long journey. Share your flight number so we can confirm the timing with you.
One driver for your whole stay
Many visitors keep the same driver after the airport run, for meetings, dinners, errands and trips outside the city. A half day starts from $70 and a full day from $120, with the car included. Keeping one driver means one plan, one contact and no new arrangements each day.
Business trips and conferences
For business travel and conferences, your driver can meet you at the airport, take you straight to your hotel or venue, and stay on call between sessions. Multi-day schedules are agreed in advance, so each day starts with a plan rather than a search for transport.
Straight from the airport to the rest of Rwanda
You do not have to stop in Kigali first. From the airport we can drive you directly to Musanze and Volcanoes National Park, to Akagera, or to Lake Kivu. Long drives after a flight are tiring, so we plan the timing with you and suggest a night in Kigali if you land late.
Airport taxis or a pre-arranged driver
You can also take a taxi on arrival: licensed airport taxis from ATAK and Move wait at ranks outside arrivals, 24 hours a day, and since January 2026, airport taxis must be electric or hybrid SUVs no more than five years old. Fares at the rank are usually agreed with the driver before you set off.
A pre-arranged driver suits you better if you want someone expecting you when you land, a fixed plan for the day, or the same driver for the rest of your stay.
